Lushan Global Geopark is just located in the boundary between the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River, belonging to the north of Jiangxi province, China. Its scope is within the area of 29°21'~29°45N, 115°50'~116°10'E. The north boundary of the geopark is only 4km to the Yangtze river. The Poyang Lake is just on its east side. The great Yangtze River, big Poyang Lake and beautiful Lushan Mountain come together to form a magnificent view.

The Beijing-Jiulong (Hong Kong) Railway is passing through to the west of the geopark. It is only 32km from the Center Area(Kuling Town) of the geopark to the Jiujiang Railway Station, 36km to the Lushan Railway Station, 35km to the Jiujiang Airport, 110km to the Nanchang Airport, and 34km to the Jiujiang Port. Jiujiang city could reach Nanchang, Wuhan, Jingdezhen, Hefei, Nanjing and Shanghai cities by express highways.

There are highways from the Center Area(Kuling Town) to major scenic spots, such as the Botanical Garden, Hanpokou（Hanpo Pass), Wulao Peak(Five-old-man Peaks), Qingliansi Temple, Yangtianping, Lulin (Lute) Lake, Huajing (Flower Path), Datianchi(Great Heavenly Pool), Dayueshan Peak, Daxiaochang and others. There is a cableway from Qingliansi Temple to Sandie Waterfall (Three Cascades Waterfall). The total length of the highway is about 260km in the geopark, it is very easy to reach any scenic spots for visitors. By the way, there are 9 trails around the Lushan Mountain for climbers from the foot up to the Center Area(Guling Town).
