Lushan Global Geopark is situated in the north subtropical monsoon warm and humid climate zone,with four distinct seasons.In spring time,the spring rain goes on and on,the Lushan Mountain is enveloped in mist.The average annual rainfall is 1,833.5mm,the mist days over 190.6 each year in average.In summer,the jade green plants on the mountain are flourishing,it is nice and cool;in autumn,the red maple leaves look like rosy clouds,the sky is clear and the air is bracing;in winter,the white snow and rime are everywhere.The description for the Lushan Mountain is like a dream in spring,jade in summer,intoxication in autumn and crystal palace in winter.
The average annual temperature in the geopark is 11.5℃,the highest to 32℃,and the lowest-16.8℃.It belongs to the maritime climate(Table 2).

The pleasant climate condition and excellent geographic position make Lushan Geopark be an ideal resort for tourism and summer holiday.
Due to the abundant rainfall,the vegetation in the Mount Lushan Geopark is developed,the free-water,fissure water in rocks and artesian water in fault zones are very plentiful.Twenty main rivers and streams radically flow down into the Poyang Lake or Yangtze River.All these rivers and streams are perennial,with a good water quality.The Gushanhu,Qingshanhu and Luoxinghu Lakes are parts of Poyang Lake,without any pollution.It is one of specificities that Lushan Geopark is abundant in water resources.
