On April 6,2022,from the field infrared camera, the ranger of Lushan UNESCO Global Geopark got the pictures and footage of leopard cat, a  National Class-Two Key Protected Wild Animal which was the fourth clear record in the recent years.In recent years, Lushan UGGp has made effective conservation for the ecological environment, and provided a good habitat for wild animals, and painted a new picture of the harmonious coexistence between man and nature.

    Infrared camera video shows that a leopard cat appears in front of the camera, sometimes taking a leisurely walk and sometimes observing the surroundings warily. Although shot at night, the markings on the animal are still clearly visible. After professional identification, the animal is an adult leopard cat. Leopard cat is a feline with slender body. It mainly inhabits in mountain forest areas, rural shrubs and near forest edge villages.It is a nocturnal animal and is more active in the early morning and late at night.
