In Xiaqingshan highway Profile, the lower part of Dagu CIay bouIder are grayish-white, grading to brownish-red color in the upper part. The brownish-red color seems to have resulted from postglacial humid weathering，which changed the FeO to Fe2O3, in the argillaceous.
