From May 29 to June 3, 2019, a delegation from Department of Geography and Environment, University of Colorado Denver led by Professor Page Brian and Dr. Yijia CHEN visited Lushan UGGp for a field practice and research investigation. The delegation included 12 postgraduate students undergraduate students.During their stay, they carried out research on various topics: the geological information of Lushan UGGp, the harmonious relation between man and nature under traditional Chinese culture, comparative research on Kuling villa of Mt. Lushan and western villa in Europe and America, the tourism influence on nature and environment of the geopark.
Professor Page Brian has deep and special affection towards Mt. Lushan. His mother had been studying in Kuling American School in Mt. Lushan until the outbreak of the Chinese War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in 1937. In 1989, he visited Mt. Lushan with his mother and fell in love in the place. Since 2017, Professor Page Brian has organized annual trips for his students to carry out field practice and research investigation in Lushan UGGp and helped them have a better understanding of Lushan UGGp.
