This 1600m long U-Valley was caused by glacial erosion 0.9 -1.1million years ago. Water erosion and collapsing cliff sides transformed the U- Valley into a narrow gorge with steep precipices. The valley is covered with flowers year round resembling embroidery. It was thus named Embroidery Valley .
