On March 5th , Lei Feng’s Memorial Day, Lushan Global Geopark Administrative Committee carried out Lei Feng Month volunteer activities aimed at promoting Lei Feng spirit, optimizing tourism service and making local residents and tourists be more conscious about the importance of environmental protection.
Geopark volunteers, including students, teachers, medical personnel and government office workers and other people from different occupations clean the public facilities(e.g. corridors, pavilions of resting place for visitors ), pick up bottles, food packaging bags and other garbage along the trail up the mountain and sight-viewing platforms, remove the snow on the road for the safety of local residents and tourists , provide free medical consultation and conduct other activities for the public.
With these activities, geopark volunteers set a good example for local residents and tourists to follow and let them aware the importance of protecting environment by the whole society so as to attract more participants of environment protection and builders for a more smart and beautiful geopark.
