Lushan Global Geopark is located in the middle-east of China,just south of the Yangtze River(the longest river in China)and east of Poyang Lake(the largest fresh water lake in China).It is one of the few global geoparks which it snows in winter along the south of middle and lower Yangtze river.From May to October each year,it is the high season of the park.The rest of the time of the year becomes the low season because of cold weather.

During the first half year of 2014,Lushan Administrative Bureau began to market to attract the tourists actively through snow and ice landscape.From winter of 2014 to early spring of 2015,snow and ice landscape,of rime,snow and freezing rain,appeared in Lushan Global Geopark time and time again.Lushan became a magic snow and crystal world.Apart from the marketing work in advance,latest tourism information about hotels,restaurants,entrance tickets special discount,weather forecast and others were not only released in eye-catching location of the park,but also in Lushan Global Geopark website,wechat,microblog and other internet platforms.Good service,beautiful environment to make tourists satisfaction activities were carried on among service departments.

The promotion attracted a large number of tourists successfully.Only during the spring festival holidays(Feb.18th-24th),127,500 tourists visited Lushan Global Geopark,which is up 79% from the same season in 2014.Meanwhile,the promotion not only increased the income of the local people,but also accumulated the geo-tourism experience during low season,so as to enhance the sustainable development of the geopark.
