Located in the south of Lushan, Jin Lun Peak is about 1000 meters above sea level. Jin Lun Peak trail is one of the favourite trails for Chinese mountaineering enthusiasts. The geosites, Dagoba ruins, and cultural and historic relics around the Jin Lun Peak attract the mountaineering enthusiasts who are fond of adventure and history in Lushan.
Recently, a female mountaineering enthusiast hurt her ankle on the way back after reaching the top of the peak. She couldn’t move forward with the companions’help in the muddy, slippery and steep trail. They asked help from 110 rescue team and Blue Sky Rescue team(a non-government rescue team),who reached Jin Lun Peak after receiving the call . Three hours later, they took the wounded to the ambulance. Luckily, the wounded didn’t hurt much after examination.
Lushan Global Geopark covers an area of 500 km2 , with the core area of 302 km2. Lushan Global Geopark Administrative Committee set up Emergency Plans for related issues, like geo-disasters, forest fire, tourists’ lost and so on. Among 50 trails to the top of the park, there are some adventure trails, which attract many mountaineering enthusiasts each year. When they have any emergency problems, they will ask the emergency teams for help. The rescue at Jin Lun Peak is one of them.
