Lushan Global Geopark is famous mountain for its unique multi-genetic complex geological landscape.It has typical mountian quarternary glaciation relics in the east of China, horst fault-block mountain,metamorphic core complex stucture. With its good location,convenient transportation, Lushan Global Geopark has become a prior place of sightseeing for tourists and field practice for university students.
It is better to see rather than to hear for many times and it is better to practice rather than to see for many times. Over 100 sophomores from Geography and Environment College of Jiangxi Normal University started their field practice at Lushan Geo-museum to underdand the whole geo-knowledge about Lushan. During the field practice, guided by geo-direction boards and interpretation panels in geo-tour trails, the students experienced the geo-evolution of Lushan and enjoyed her beautiful natural landscape.
Focusing on geo-tourism and geo-education , Lushan Global Geopark promotes the education value of geosites to create geo-education tourism routes，which integrates travel with study, conducts infrastructure construction as well as makes conservation for sustainable development and utilization. The students on field practice also spread the concepts of geoparks.,which promote the charm of global geoparks.
