The 44th World Environment Day on June 5th 2015 is the first World Environment Day after promulgation of the new Environmental Protection Law of PRC. The theme of this year’s World Environment Day is Sustainable Consumption and Production and its Chinese theme is Practice Green Life. Around two themes , Lushan Global Geopark carried out series of publicity activities. 

During the activities, promotional banners were broadcasted by television; the related information was released through website, WeChat platform and mobile message to the residents ; free wall charts, leafletsand booklets were distributed in the community; the lectures were held to the students ;the geopark administrative committee also joined Jiujiang Environmental Protection Achievement Exhibition hosted by Environmental Protection Bureau of Jiujiang City. The staff of our park attended the New Environmental Protection Law Knowledge Contest and the photo contest, and many of them won the prizes. On the World Environment Day, the staff of the park provided the consulting services. They provided the advisory about new Environmental Protection Law to the residents and tourists, accepted the complains on environmental problems and popularized the geosciences knowledge. and distributed the free geosciences readings and environment protection leaflets. 

Lushan Global Geopark enhanced the environmental protection, saving and ecological conservation awareness of the public through the seriess of activities of the World Environment Day. The geopark calls for everybody to choose the low carbon, thrifty, green lifestyles and consumption patterns and contribute to the conservation of Lushan Global Geopark---our common green homeland.
