Peony International Arts Exhibition willd be held by LushanGlobal Geopark, Bergstrasse-Odenwald Global Geopark ,Lorsch City and the World Heritage Site-Lorsch Abbey

From June 1st to August 17, 2014，in the City of Lorsch Germany where the headquarter of Global Geopark Bergstrasse-Odenwald located, Peony International Arts Exhibition will be held by Lushan Global Geopark China, Bergstrasse-Odenwald Global Geopark ,Lorsch City and the UNESCO World Heritage Site- Lorsch. Abbey.
There will be the 1250 years celebration of the founding of Lorsch City. Peony is the national flower of China and also has a great significance in German culture. Based on the profound history and culture of thousand years, the Peony International Arts Exhibition will enhance the friendship and commiunications between Germany and China . Hesse state Germany and Jiangxi Procince is sister provinces . Ever since the signature of cooperation agreement based on GGN of UNESCO between Lushan Global Geopark China, Bergstrasse-Odenwald Global Geopark Germany in 2007, multi-aspect cooperations between two geoparks have been conducted continuesly. The friendship and cooperation through times and continents have been good example of international cooperation of GGN.

The exhibition hall—the Museum Center of Lorsch City is located among WHS(World Heritage Site) and Geopark Headquarter and Lushan Friendship Rock. In the 1st floor,an exhibition area of 504 square meters, the exhibition of more than 60 pieces of calligraphy,painting,paper-cutting and embrodiery from more 60 artists will be shown there . Besides the exhibition activities , Lushan Global Geopark China, Bergstrasse-Odenwald Global Geopark Germany will have further discussion of future cooperation.
