An isolated 30 cm long lense-Iike bIock of garnet-amphiboIe granuIite in the mica-quartz pIagioclase schists of Xingzi Group，early Proterozoic Garnet-amphiboIe granuIite，consisting of  garnet，taramite and quarrtz，might come from the lower crust or even the upper mantle. The reason why the isolated lense-like block mingled in the metamorphic rocks is difficult to understand.
