When the glacier flows over the larger bedrock hillock , which is not covered completely by glacier with its top emerging out ,facing the ice slope and its two sides are all abrased and eroded by glacial flow and  glacial till accumulated in the tail part of glacier, that makes this hillock like a nose. This type of glacial landform is called craig and tail . The Xieshan Mountain in Poyang Lake area is a typical craig and tail.
