On June 10, 2022, in the sixth themed science popularization event celebrating the 53rd World Earth Day, Lushan UGGP won multiple awards including the "Most Beautiful Geopark", the "Annual Contribution" and “Gold Conservation Zone Photographer”. The event was jointly organized by the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, the Chinese National Geoparks Network Center, the Publicity and Education Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources, China Green Times,  the Tourism Geoscience and Geoparks Research Branch of the Chinese Geological Society, and Nature Education Center of Geoparker . These awards demonstrated high recognition of the efforts in conservation, development and scientific research by Lushan UGGp.

During the event, an online exhibition of photography was held similarly as in previous years. The exhibition showed the public China’s beautiful landscape, promoted the awareness of "harmonious coexistence between human and nature", and encouraged participation in the action of protecting the earth.
