Celebrating May Day ( May, 1st ) and China’s Youth Day( May 4th ) , enriching spiritual and cultural life of the geopark staff and enhancing extensive fitness programs for the general public, mountain-climbing competition of Lushan Global Geopark was held on May 23rd . Over 500 participants of the park involved in the competition.

The 9 km competition trail, which is one of the hottest ones of the geopark, started from the bottom of the mountain ( Lian Huadong Square) and ended on top of the mountain (Kuling Central Park) The competition was divided into four groups according to the ages and gender of participants. Some competitors ran up very fast without hesitation, some companied and encouraged each other all along, some insisted on without giving up, which all showed the good sports spirit and perseverance of the competitors.

This competition not only enriched the spiritual and cultural life of the geopark staff, but also encouraged them to contribute to the geopark’s construction in a perfect state of body and spirit.
