The boulder clay profile is a fragmental deposit of debris carried down and deposited by glaciers. It is located at the mouth of the Da Xiao Chang glacial U- Valley. It is made up of yellowish-brown boulder clay which accumulated in a glacial melt 200,000 to 400,000 years ago. The somewhat streaky and flat-iron boulders vary in size and are evidence of Lushan glaciations.
