The detachment fault is a kind of Iow-angle Iistric decoIlement normaI fault， also caIIed peel fault，which in the deep crust appears as a ductile shearing fracturing, while in the shallow as deformation，forming mylonite, in the middle crust appears as ductile-brittle shearing fracturing, whiIe in the shaIlow as a brittle shearing．Liuxingshan Mountain lies on the major detachment fault of Lushan metamorphic core complex. Its cover layer is un-metamorphic rocks of 700Ma years old.
