       Located to the east of Nankang County Pagoda, there is a rectangular stone pond. In August 1071, Zhou Dunyi, Song Dynasty governor of Nankang(today Lushan Municipality). He dug a pond and led the water from Poyang Lake into it. Planting lotus flower inside, he named it Lotus-loving Pond. Later he wrote his famous essay, On Lotus-loving which is recorded into middle school textbook and known by almost every Chinese.
